Height: 10.5 cm Songye ivories originate from the Luba area; they are rare and were used as showpieces, not for daily use. Other known objects of this type are those in the Van Lier collection, and in the MRAC in Tervuren (Belgium). This object can be viewed or picked up at David Norden's Shop in Antwerp, if you wish.
